Sewage in a Commercial Crawl Space
A sewage line had clogged and backed up in a college crawl space resulting in a layer of sewage affecting most of the floor. Due to the low ceiling height, we needed to call an indoor air quality professional and acquire a confined work space permit before suiting up in our personal protective equipment. Proper ventilation was necessary before beginning work and an air scrubber was placed to filter out any air born bacteria. Once the water was extracted, crews were able to begin the cleaning processes to remove all of the waste affecting the crawl space. The area is now clean enough for any contractors to enter and further fix the cause of the loss.
